Techspace Aero launches a new trademark for engine test equipment
Drawing strength from the success achieved on the engine test equipment market, Techspace Aero (SAFRAN Group) creates the EoLinesTM trademark: the new trade name for all the products that are fitted to an aircraft engine while it is being tested and whose aim is to direct the airflow and to reproduce conditions close to those of an engine in flight. These products are the cowlings, bellmouth, nozzle & plug, turbulence control screen and other flow control devices used in test cells.
Concurrently with activities involving engines and equipment for aerospace propulsion, Techspace Aero has developed since 2002 an active test cell engineering cluster which is now reflected through two trademarks: Cenco International for turnkey engine test facilities and industrial turbine facilities and today, EoLines, for test equipment specific to the engine.
The EoLines offering includes the design and the manufacturing of new equipment together with the maintenance and refurbishment of operational equipment. The EoLines products and services are aimed at test cell integrators, engine manufacturers as well as maintenance centres, both for the military and civil markets.
The experience of engines and their nacelles existing in the SAFRAN Group and at Techspace Aero represents an undeniable asset to guarantee innovative technologies and the highest levels of reliability and safety.
Partner to the world’s major engine manufacturers, Techspace Aero designs, develops and produces modules, equipment and test benches for aeronautical and space engines. Thanks to its high-tech products, Techspace Aero contributes to the success of Airbus (A320, A330, A340, A380, A400M), Boeing (B737, B747, B767, B777, B787), Embraer (190) and many other aircrafts. A SAFRAN Group company (F- 56% of capital), Techspace Aero’s other shareholders are the Walloon Region (B- 31 %), Pratt & Whitney (USA-11%) and the Federal Investment Company (B- 2%). The company achieved turnover of EUR 337 million in 2008 with a 1,250 strong workforce.
