From sub-contractor to major technological player

Techspace Aero has been involved with aircraft propulsion since 1949, and started out as a specialist in precision mechanics which could produce components and equipment designed by engine manufacturers.

In order to assert its position in the global market, the company progressively developed its design and development capabilities, enlarging its engineering teams and hiring large numbers of engineers.

For most of its major engine programmes, Techspace Aero has concluded partnership agreements with its clients, specifying that the company participates in the financing of a new engine alongside the engine manufacturer and assumes full responsibility for a module and/or equipment that represents a share of up to 10% of the complete engine.

Techspace Aero has now acquired a technological maturity which allows it to make further progress and to play a real part in the evolution of engine architecture in its area of responsibility, alongside the world’s leading engine manufacturers.
