Aero adopts as its principles and objectives, the protection of the health and safety of the persons present on and around its sites, plant safety, respect for the environment and neighbouring communities together with the integration of Health, Safety and Environment requirements into its design, development, industrialisation and distribution processes for its products and services.
General Management has set out its commitments in this matter in the following statement:
ISO 14001 Certification
In accordance with SAFRAN Group policy, Techspace Aero has been implementing an Environmental Management policy since early 2002, which aims to take all possible steps to prevent all forms of nuisance or pollution arising from its products, activities and services. It is further continuing its efforts to reduce both its energy needs and its consumption of natural resources.
Techspace Aero signed a Branch Agreement by which it undertook, between 1999 and 2010, to improve its energy efficiency by 13.5 % and reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 12.8%.
These main actions concern the following areas:
- Sorting and recovery of industrial and office waste: 100% recycling and recovery of production cuttings
- Energy saving: cogeneration, optimisation of compressed air, cooling tower of the water of industrial machines, lighting management, heating and air conditioning management
- Wastewater treatment: 100% treatment of production wastewater: 300m³ of water/day
Safety, a top priority
Safety is one of Techspace Aero’s top priorities. For many years, special technical emphasis has been focused on eliminating dangers and limiting risks. Today’s efforts are aimed at working on everyone’s personal behaviour so as to prevent risks, comply and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
