Current equipment
Aestus® equipment
Techspace Aero produces the check valve of Aestus® engine PCA . The Aestus engine powers the Ariane 5 bipropellant upper stage for the insertion of payloads into LEO, SSO and GTO.- Check valve
Vulcain® 2 equipment
Techspace Aero is in partnership with Snecma, the prime contractor for the Vulcain®2 engine, and is involved with designing, developing and manufacturing most of the control valves. The Vulcain®2 cryotechnic engine, which develops a thrust of 1340kN, provides the propulsion for the main cryotechnic stage (EPC) of Ariane 5.
To produce these valves, TA has had to demonstrate great expertise in matters relating to tightness technology in a cryogenic or high-temperature environment and to tribology (the science and technology of friction, wear and lubrication).
- Hydrogen and oxygen main chamber valve
- Hot gas valve
- Purge valves
- Helium feeding valve (VRE)
- Liquid Helium subsystem pressure relief valve
Vinci® equipment
Techspace Aero is in partnership with Snecma for the design and development of most of the cryogenic control valves and the solenoid box for the Vinci® engine.Vinci® is an engine currently at the development stage, which is intended for use in a new cryogenic upper stage for Ariane 5.
To produce these valves, TA has not only had to demonstrate great expertise in matters relating to tightness technology and tribology (the science and technology of friction, wear and lubrication), but must also be able to propose technological progress in the field of electrical actuation of valves.
- Oxygen main chamber valve
- Hydrogen main chamber valve
- Purge valves
- By-pass valves
- Chill down valve
- Solenoid box
